Jack and the Beanstalk

This week, Reception class read the story ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ as part of their ‘plants and growing’ topic. Some children then used props and costumes to retell the story to one another, using the new bridge in the garden area as a stage.

Reception class also helped to weed and tidy up the new garden area using a variety of spades, rakes and brushes. They are hoping to plant new things in the garden once the area is tidy.

The class have enjoyed working outside again this week and many children practised their ball skills in a game of basketball.
