We were lucky and lots of our caterpillars turned into butterflies, so on Tuesday we set them free We are now eagerly awaiting the hatching of our chicks. Only nine days to go!

We have had a great time playing with the tents and all the camping equipment that has been brought in. Many thanks for all the contributions They have been fantastic and a great success.

We are now busy working on our dance and song for the opening of the fountain.

Last Friday Mrs Marshall and I went to collect some eggs from Noah's Ark Farm and they are now in the incubator keeping warm. We are crossing fingers that at least one will hatch in 17 days time.

Our cocoons have been moved into a special container ready for our butterflies to emerge. We keep looking, but we have not seen any yet.

Enjoy the weekend and maybe there will be a surprise waiting for us on Monday morning!

The weather kept fine and we managed to have our 'Sports Day' on Wednesday. The children were really well behaved and had a great time, running in and watching the different races. We were very proud of them.

We also had some visitors this Thursday. Cieron who works as a vet came in to talk to us about his job and the sorts of animals he sees and looks after. He also brought in his friend's dog, called Rosie to meet the children. They were all allowed to talk to and touch Rosie and were very sensible and quiet while Rosie was in the classroom.

The children have been very excited to see that the caterpillars in the classroom are now beginning to turn into chrysalis and are looking forward to seeing them become butterflies. Fingers crossed!

We have had a great week. There has been lots going on during 'Sports Week'. The children have had a 'Wake and Shake' session which certainly got their hearts pumping! We also managed to enjoy our 'May Dancing' and remembered all the steps. We hope we will be able to play some playground games on Friday morning in our 'Mix up' session and are looking forward to 'Sports Day' next Wednesday.

We have also had our class trip to the zoo. The weather was kind and we had a lovely day. The children were really well behaved and were a pleasure to take round. They were so interested and excited at seeing some of the animals so close up. Thank you to all the parents who were able to join us. I'm sure you'll agree it was a great day out.
