Christmas week

The last week of term has been very Christmassy. On Thursday we had our Christmas party. We played lots of games including Musical Chairs without the chairs! We did some dancing and finally had a visit from a surprise guest - Santa. we sung him some Christmas songs and then he answered some questions.

On party day we had our lunch in the classroom, it was fun to all sit together and listen to Christmas music while we ate.

Earlier in the week we had some parents come to visit us and tell us about Christmas in their home countries. A big thank you to Pierre's Mum who told us about Christmas in France, Finn's Mum for telling us about Norway and Cajsa's Dad for talking to us about Sweden.

Finally the reception team wish you all a very merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you in 2010.
Thank you for your very generous gifts, we will really enjoy spending them.

Christmas plays

This is YR, we are doing our Christmas play for our Mums and Dads to watch. Our play was called the Nutcracker. We dressed up as sweets and did a dance. We really enjoyed doing our dance. Miss Linton, Ms Redpath and Mrs Williamson were very proud of us for our fantastic singing and dancing.

We have been working very hard this week on our play the 'Nutcracker' and hope you will enjoy watching our performances next week. Our costumes look great, so a big thank you to everyone for getting those ready!
We were lucky enough to have some visitors on Tuesday morning who had their own show to share with us. We really enjoyed watching them and had lots of questions to ask afterwards. They kindly left one of their beautiful puppets for us to keep and play with in the class.
We will have our teddy mask competition next week. Thank you for all those that have arrived already. Deadline is Monday 7th December.
