Friday 8th May

This week we have been continuing our plants topic - planting and looking after the vegetables. Our radishes and lettuces are growing so fast!

In maths, we have been describing the height of different objects and people. We discovered that age doesn't make a difference to height as some of us four year olds are taller than the five year olds, and some of our teachers are very old and not that tall!

We have been enjoying learning with Miss Welton who has been doing lots of fun activities with us.

On Friday some of us helped to bake bread rolls - they were yummy!

Growth in action

We had a lovely time on Friday exploring the Alderman Moors Allotments. Phil, the site manager, gave us a guided tour. We played the vegetable game, guessing which seeds matched which veg - we were very good at it!

Mr Thwaites let us dig up some leeks on his allotment. We had a good nose around the greenhouse and planted some beetroot.

Mrs Thwaites said she was very proud of us - we were so well behaved and set a grand example for Luckwell.
We would like to go back in the autumn and see how our seeds have grown.
